Never Give Up

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

Spread Love & Happiness...

Being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the biggest curse. A physical disease can be cured with medicines, but the only cure for loneliness and despair is love. Many people in the world today are dying for the lack of food, but there are many more dying for just a little love.

We can help others by extending a little love, care, kindness and understanding every time we meet them. Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a great difference in lives of people. Giving kindness not only helps others, it makes us happy too. Therefore, we should open our loving hearts and help others make a new start.

As custodians of this planet, it is our duty to help the helpless, house the homeless, love the unloved and care for the uncared. We are born with rich blessings of love, compassion and forgiveness and we must share these blessings with all the humans and animals of the world.

A Drop of Honey

Someone once said that a drop of honey attracts more flies than a million gallons of gall. This is true in every sphere of life. When we talk to people with love, respect and empathy; they feel a great amount of gratification and develop an immediate liking for us.

A person who speaks sweet and remains calm under all circumstances is accepted by all. People like such men, and look at them with respect and admiration. Who would not like to be in the company of someone, who does not challenge their integrity and wisdom; and says nice things about them!

People remember you for being gentle and saying kind words to them all their lives. Everybody has their own battles to fight and a kind word comes as a gentle breeze to their parched lives.

Remember to be nice and gentle with everyone you meet. In a world of cold reception, a lovely smile, a warm hand-shake and a kind word creates magic and fills people with love and enthusiasm.

Why Lament…

We lament our unfulfilled desires every now and then. When we can't achieve our dreams, we feel sad and even regret our past decisions which we think are the reasons for our situation today. This remorse affects our present, and also the future; as we are not able to take right decisions in this situation.

As human beings, we are born with emotions of love, hatred, remorse, happiness etc. However, by controlling our emotions and not letting remorse affect our present and future is the best way to to live life fully. It is easy to fall in the trap of feeling victimized, and thinking why God has done this to us. But to feel like a victor and let eternal love and happiness rule our lives takes effort and courage.

Don't let past mistakes drag you down. Be a victor and not a victim! Stand up, hold your head high, draw a smile and walk with grace! Remember, happiness is just a state of mind and it is entirely up to you to decide to be happy and cheerful!

Challenge

We are challenged on every hand to work untiringly to achieve excellence in our lifework. Not all men are called to specialized or professional jobs; even fewer rise to the heights of genius in the arts and science; many are called to be labourers in factories, fields, and streets.

But no work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep even as Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the host of heaven and earth will pause to say, "Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well."

Don't Scold

If a man’s heart is rankling with discord and ill feeling toward you, you can’t win him to your way of thinking with all the logic in the world. Scolding parents and domineering bosses and husbands and nagging wives ought to realize that people don’t want to change their minds. They can’t be forced or driven to agree with you or me. But they may possibly be led to, if we are gentle and friendly, ever so gentle and ever so friendly.

It is an old and true maxim that “a drop of honey catches more flies than a gallon of gall.” So with men, if you could win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are his sincere friend. Therein a drop of honey that catches his heart; which, say what you will, is the great high road to his reason.

By fighting you never get enough, but by yielding you get more than you expected. Two thousand years ago, Jesus said: “Agree with thine adversary quickly.”
